Sara Daas is the author and illustrator of Hop Squad, the new faith-based children's book series for Muslim kids. She holds a Master of Public Policy in Digital Society from McMaster University, focusing her research on child protection and children's rights. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto (UofT) and is also a certified 200 hr yoga instructor.  Throughout her academic career, she worked at UofT's early learning centre. With over four years of experience working directly with, toddlers and preschool students, she has acquired an in-depth understanding of content creation for children. Hop Squad was created for Muslim kids to feel a sense of diversity and inclusion in the west, since finding content that welcomed and embraced the Muslim identity was difficult.
